Gorillas in Uganda can be tracked throughout the year providing you the same level of satisfaction every time you embark on the experience.
Most clients tend to avoid the rainy season forgetting that Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where the gorillas are tracked is an Equatorial Forest and chances of rain are high throughout the year.
In theory the best times to track is during June ,July & August.
During these months, less rainfall is experienced than April, May & November. Hence many people tend to book Gorilla tracking making it competitive.
Tourists who would like to travel during the drier months are advised to book their gorilla permits in advance.
Gorilla Permits in Uganda usually cost $700 and $1500 in Rwanda.
However, in a bid to revamp Tourism after COVID, The Uganda Government has reduced the Gorilla Permits to $400 until June 2021.All guests that have gorilla tracking on their bucket list are encouraged to take advantage of this offer.
